I had so much fun playing dress-up with the girls. The night before Halloween did not go well, and I'll leave it at that. Luckily things turned around and we had a great time!
I've always had a strange relationship with my appearance and can definitely put the vintage now in Catwoman at 44, I mean 43. When getting a flu shot a couple of days ago, they asked my age and birthday for verification and I told them I was 44!! How about the old memory, eh? :P
Ultimately I'm a chameleon at heart. You can take yourself from plain to almost whatever you want with hair, makeup, lighting, and posing. It's all make-believe!
That can get expensive, so I like to mix high and low, budget and splurge. It took a little over an hour and a half to get the makeup and hair/wig just right.
Here are some pics of the process. I'll also share what I used.

No lips, eyes, or lashes yet. Most skin products applied, which includes concealer and contour.

I haven't found a better highlight and contour palette than Kat Von D's Shade and Light powder. The contour brush (also Kat Von D.) is the best vegan brush I've used. Blush is MAC's discontinued (boo!) Pinch o' Peach.My hair took so long! Two wet braids in the back were flattened with elbow grease and bobby pins. I'd already taken my 600mg horse pill-sized ibuprofen.
Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Eye Cream is a holy grail product. You also need to try the Sigma Beauty brush in F80 Flat Kabuki. It's almost a magic wand when combined with the right products.
I can't say enough good things about the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless foundation that I used! I'm surprised because I've tried SO many. The perfect color for me is 128 Warm Nude. I'm sort of a MAC NC25-NC30, in the light-medium range where yellow undertones are imperative.
I'm also a combo skin type that uses Retin-A daily, so I have some oily and some dryness. This foundation has never made me break out and I can't say that about everyone else!
The next step was eyeshadow, lashes, liner, lips, and more contour. I abandoned dealing with eyebrows as I didn't have time, opting to wear the mask and keep it on. Not the most comfortable option as it left marks above my eyebrows, but hey, how we suffer to be beautiful or something, right?
This might be blasphemous, but I prefer the Makeup Revolution New-Trals 2 palette to the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. It's also $12 vs $54, and I like to count the money that I'm saving.
So this part didn't take very long. Sometimes I can quickly do eye makeup. I feel more relaxed now as the ibuprofen is starting to kick in.
The outfit is nearly entirely recycled from four years ago. It's Leg Avenue, and the quality of it isn't terrible.
